Creating a word cloud is EASY and FUN!! I think that tools like Wordle and Tagxedo would benefit my classroom in several different ways. It would present content to my students in a creative and motivating style. There are several ideas that come to mind right away, like weekly spelling words. For my students that are creative and visual learners, it allows them to apply their skills to an area where creativity is typically lacking. I found Tagexdo to be the best fit to incorporate word clouds into my classroom for history. I can use the shape of the state or country, and fill it with vocabulary or relating information that I want my students to retain. It is a tool to inform my students about important facts that I want them to know, without having to verbally tell them. I can not wait to use this in a classroom and see how the students respond to it.
